Operation Epic Fury is a defensive action using overwhelming force to protect the American people from an imminent and growing threat. The next day he voted against the War Powers resolution to end the unauthorized war.

WHAT THE RECORD SHOWS

Trump had spent the previous eight months saying Iran’s nuclear program was obliterated. A 2025 federal assessment found Iran years away from missiles that could reach the U.S. Both can’t be true — and Huizenga repeated the version that justified the war.

Methodology

How this site works — and how to check us

Who we are, plainly. This site is published by Michigan’s Fourth District Democrats. Our goal is not a secret: we want to flip Michigan’s 4th Congressional District and retire Bill Huizenga. We are not neutral about who should win elections, and we don’t pretend to be. What we claim to be is accurate — and everything here is built so you can verify that without trusting us.
Internal contradictions first. Every entry leads with the administration’s own words, its own agencies’ data, or its own published documents contradicting its stated rationale. Where an outside source is load-bearing, we prefer primary documents (court records, the Congressional Record, agency filings, corporate disclosures) and named reporters over outlet brands.
Every claim is tagged. DOCUMENTED means quote, record, or data you can check at the link. INFERENCE means a conclusion we drew — labeled so you can weigh it. PROJECTION means a model-based estimate, always given as a range with its method. If a claim can’t earn a tag, it doesn’t ship.
We publish what’s true even when it cuts against us. Entries state what the administration got right — the parts of a strike that succeeded, the provision in a bill that genuinely helps ratepayers — because a record that hides inconvenient facts isn’t a record. The lie is usually the totality, not the direction, and we say which.
On “both sides.” Fact-checkers flag false statements across the political spectrum, including by Democrats, and we link the same fact-checkers we cite. This site documents something narrower and more specific: a sustained pattern of consequential false statements by one administration and its allies, established in their own words. If you believe an entry fails that test, use the corrections address below.

Nothing here is anonymous sourcing of ours. Where reporting we cite relies on unnamed officials (for example, descriptions of classified assessments), we attribute that explicitly to the outlet that carried it and say so in the entry.

Entries include the date each source was last verified. Dead links are repaired or the claim is retagged. This site does not use tracking beyond basic page counts, and it will never ask you for money to read the record.
